PHP 5.4.22, for Wheezy and Squeeze

On November 14th 2013, the PHP group has released PHP 5.4.22. About 10 bugs were fixed. All PHP 5.4 users are encouraged to upgrade to this version.

The corresponding packages are now available on Dotdeb :

  • for Debian 7.0 “Wheezy” and Debian 6.0 “Squeeze”,
  • on both amd64 and i386 architectures.

Please note that Opcache (php5-zendopcache) and APCu (php5-apcu) have been packaged to ease your migration to PHP 5.5.

As usual, please read the ChangeLog before upgrading and be sure to use to the latest packages before reporting any issue.

And if you find Dotdeb useful, feel free to show your support.

Thank you very much for apcu and zendopcache. It works like a charm!

A note to ionCube users: make sure to load the ionCube loader first (make the symlink start with 04) and THEN the zendopcache (a symlink with 05). Else, your installation will fail and (in my case) php-fpm won’t start (and won’t log the cause of the error).
